Here at MyoHarmony I want to help guide you in improving your health and wellbeing so that you can eat, sleep, breath, and live better. I truly believe that the benefits of myofunctional therapy can be a part of that journey. Let’s restore the harmony in your wellbeing. Working together we will create a plan that fits your needs and goals.
What is Myofunctional Therapy?
Myofunctional therapy is based on a series of exercises that help patients learn to change habits and strengthen muscles in regards to their oral function. This improves tongue placement, breathing, speaking, chewing, and swallowing, which can have a huge impact on their overall health and well-being.
It is a type of treatment that looks at the way the tongue and oral muscles move and function. Some of the issues you may have might seem normal, because everyone else snores or breathes through their mouths. Even headaches, asthma, allergies, and ADHD have become more of the norm. However, just because many people chronically deal with these symptoms, it doesn’t make them normal. Dysfunction is never normal. What if you could teach your body, your mouth, and your tongue to work for you instead of against you? With myofunctional therapy, that is what we will work towards together!
